MEASURING JEWELRY

We realize that high end jewelry items can be a big purchase and customer satisfaction is always our top priority, however, all sales are final. Please be very thorough when looking over jewelry sizes and information prior to ordering and always read over our jewelry policies before making a purchase. When in doubt, always contact the shop to help clarify any questions or concerns.

Jewelry measurements are extremely essential when ordering jewelry and are measured by the gauge and the size (length of the post or the diameter of the ring). To get the perfect fit, you need both the gauge and size measurements.

  • Gauge - The gauge is the thickness of the post or hoop that goes through the actual piercing. When the gauge is too thin, your piercing may shrink down in size and may restrict your ability to wear thicker jewelry. If the gauge is too thick, the jewelry will not fit into your piercing and if the jewelry is forced, you may risk tearing or damaging the piercing. We recommend consulting with our shop piercers prior to purchasing jewelry to help inform you about jewelry or piercing information.

  • Size - The size of the jewelry is the length of the post or barbell measured in between the ends, balls or disk. The size of the jewelry is also the diameter of the ring or hoop measured across from inside ring to inside ring. The size measurements are listed as either millimeters (MM) or inches (IN).
